Umeå Biotech Incubator is praised as one of Europe’s top 15 biotech incubators

Often good biotech ideas depend on a catalyst to become a real. This is why, incubators, specifically aimed at supporting companies at an early stage, are important. They can provide facilities, mentorship, a network and they can help coach the hatching businesses.
Umeå Biotech Incubator is listed as one of Europe’s top 15 biotech incubators, a quality mark for the incubator, the people working at the incubator and also for Umeå’s climate and environment. The list was compiled by the site Labiotech.eu.

Jennie Ekbeck, CEO Umeå Biotech Incubator, comments on Facebook:

“We have, since 2013, worked focused on developing our incubation process, to become as efficient as possible and thus create the best opportunities to build successful life science companies in Umeå and Sweden. Three years ago we set a goal- that Umeå should have the best life science incubator in Europe by 2025. Today we are on the list of the top 15 in Europe. I am so proud of what we have achieved”

Jennie Ekbeck continues:
“This would not have been possible without great co-workers, a super board, supportive owners and a great collaboration with the Erling Persson’s family foundation. UBI is working for Sweden to regain a position as a successful life science nation.”
I hope that others also want to step up to the challenge. With a joined effort we can get there.”
